MIKE PIECIAK ENDORSED BY VERMONT TROOPERS ASSOCIATION
Montpelier, Vt. — Democratic candidate for Treasurer Mike Pieciak today received the endorsement of the Vermont Troopers Association.
In announcing their support, the union’s Executive Director, Mike O’Neil, said, “Our members deserve public leaders who will stand up for strong pensions and dignity in retirement. Mike Pieciak is that leader. He has earned our support and the trust of Vermonters.”
Pieciak praised the work of Vermont law enforcement and said he was honored to receive their support: “We depend on state police every day to keep our communities safe and preserve the high quality of life in our state. That is often a dangerous job. We must honor that work by upholding our commitment to our law enforcement officers and Vermont’s pensions. I was proud to support strengthening our public pension system as a member of the Pension Task Force and now as a candidate for Treasurer.”

Mike Pieciak was most recently the Commissioner of the Department of Financial Regulation, the state’s consumer financial watchdog agency. Under his direction, the Department recouped millions of dollars for Vermont taxpayers and investigated the Jay Peak fraud. Gov. Phil Scott tapped Pieciak to help lead Vermont’s Covid-19 response efforts, where he directed the State’s pandemic data analysis and modeling. He has received the endorsement of sitting Treasurer Beth Pearce, the LGBTQ Victory Fund, the Professional Firefighters of Vermont, the Vermont Troopers Association, and numerous legislators.
